We Pack Logistics (WPL), a growing supply chain management and transportation services firm, is expanding its rail transload operations for the unloading, loading, warehousing and delivery of commodities with two new locations in Malvern (Hot Springs area) and North Little Rock, Arkansas. WPL is contracted to manage two established rail facilities from Arkansas Midland Railroad Transload (AKMD), a unit of Genesee & Wyoming Inc. (G&W), a global operator of 120 freight railroads. The transition will continue services for existing customers in the aluminum, lumber and other industries, and enable We Pack to extend its transload presence beyond northeast Texas into key markets throughout the region. WPL currently operates transload facilities in Paris, Sulphur Springs and Dallas, Texas, serving major manufacturers and agricultural facilities.
In addition to its rail transload services offering, WPL provides warehousing, contract packaging and distribution for global CPG customers, with 20 facilities and more than three million SF of space in operation in Texas and North Carolina.
