Jordan Harper, CEO of We Pack Logistics

Jordan Harper, CEO

Jordan has served in many leadership roles over the last 20 years at We Pack Logistics and its parent company Harrison, Walker and Harper including General Manager, COO and CEO. After earning his bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business, Jordan received his MBA from Texas A&M Commerce and also graduated from the Owner/President Management program at the Harvard Business School. In addition to his leadership responsibilities for the entire HWH enterprise, Jordan works with the We Pack leadership team to drive company growth initiatives and strategic customer engagement as well as the company’s investment in facilities, technology and automation.

Brandon Hoog, President and Chief Information Officer of We Pack Logistics

Brandon Hoog, President and Chief Information Officer

Brandon leads the daily operations of We Pack Logistics while working with the leadership group to strategically expand the business into new markets and continuously improve processes through technology and quality driven solutions. Brandon also serves as CIO with responsibilities for the information technology solutions across the HWH enterprise. He joined the company in 2006 and has over 20 years of leadership experience. Before joining We Pack, Brandon spent 10 years in the telecom industry with Nortel Networks. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and his MBA from Southern Methodist University.

Jeff Edwards, Director of Opportunity Planning and Development at We Pack Logistics

Jeff Edwards, Director of Opportunity Planning and Development

Jeff serves as We Pack’s Director of Opportunity Planning and Development and has been a pivotal member of the team for over 25 years. During this time, he has always played an important role in connecting our customer’s need with We Pack’s solution from pricing to process improvement and operational systems to new project startups. With his years of expertise, Jeff ensures our customer’s projects are a success with the upmost concern for efficiency, customer communication, and quality control. Before We Pack, Jeff held inventory management roles in the United States Air Force. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Logistics Systems from Georgia College and State University.

 

Kevin Ashmore, Director of Business Development

Kevin serves in the role of Director of Business Development for We Pack. In this position, Kevin will be responsible for managing the sales and account management functions across all our regions of our operation. Kevin is returning to We Pack where he worked from 2007 to 2014. At that time, he helped our technology and operations teams implement our Manhattan Associates WMS. He also held operational leadership roles in both our Texas and North Carolina regions and served in a Client Solutions capacity as well. Kevin joins us directly from American Trailer World where he served in a senior sales leadership role the past several years supporting two large, international trailer manufacturers in growing their businesses.  Kevin earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University – Commerce. 

Tyler Graves, Director of Operations — NC Region

Tyler leads the We Pack operations team in our North Carolina region.  After serving in different leadership positions for several years in the United States Army, Tyler moved into warehouse leadership and inventory control positions at distribution centers for Lowes Home Improvement and Big Rock Sports among other private sector companies.  He now focuses his efforts on leading our team in exceeding customer expectations across our facilities in North Carolina from Rockingham to Maxton to Fayetteville.

Chance Ballard, Engineering and Client Solution Manager

Chance leads the Engineering and Client Solutions team for We Pack which guides our customers through the new project quoting and implementation process while ensuring our equipment, facilities, and operational teams are ready to perform the work in the most efficiency manner possible. In this capacity, Chance also leads our packaging operation in Texas to ensure our customers are satisfied with every We Pack experience they have. He came to We Pack after several years at Lowe’s Home Improvement distribution center where he worked on continuous improvement, automation, standardization, and time studies. He graduated from Texas A&M Commerce with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering.

Kristi Johnson, Safety and Compliance Manager

Kristi manages quality programs as well as environmental, health and safety compliance across all HWH companies, staying at the leading edge of industry standards and best practices. She has more than 20 years of related experience in manufacturing and construction. Kristi participates in numerous regulatory agency programs and training, while also serving as a member of national organizations such as ASQ, ASSE, NSC and NFPA.

Connie Fields, Texas Warehouse Manager

Connie serves as We Pack’s Warehouse Manager in the Paris, TX, area.  She started with the company over 15 years ago as a CSR on the second shift and has grown her skillset and experience to where she now leads all warehouse operations.  Connie has a deep knowledge of We Pack’s warehouse management system and inventory control processes which allows her to exceed customer expectations on a daily basis. 

Chad Bult, Transportation Manager at We Pack Logistics

Chad Bult, Director of Transportation

Chad rejoined the We Pack team in 2019 after having previously worked in a leadership position with the company for over 15 years.  In his previous tenure with We Pack, he managed between 260,000 and 750,000 SF of warehousing, distribution and co-pack space in the company’s Sulphur Springs, TX region.  Before returning to the company, Chad spent several years in an operational leadership and business development role for a family owned transportation company specializing in freight forwarding services.  Chad now focuses on growing We Pack’s northeast Texas regional transportation and transload offering.  He earned his Bachelor’s in Business Administration in Operations Management from Texas A&M – Commerce.

 
 

Cecil Johnson, Maintenance Manager

Cecil leads our maintenance service across all regions of operation and, with his team, ensures all equpment and facilities are in proper working order for our customers. He and his team also partner with engineering to further We Pack’s automation efforts and continually strive to implement the latest packaging technologies. Cecil joined We Pack with over 30 years of maintenance experience including 10 years at Campbell Soup where he leveraged his strong electrical skills to complete many important plant upgrades.

 
 

History

The origins of We Pack Logistics date back to 1984 with the construction of a single speculative warehouse in Paris, TX. Over the decades since, it has grown throughout Texas and North Carolina to approach 2 million square feet of space and a track record of working with some of the largest consumer brands in the United States.

1984

Founded in Paris, Texas as H-W Commercial Warehouse, Inc.

 

1992

We Pack Logistics established to do contract packaging for Fortune 100 manufacturers.

 
 

1993

Began club store packaging in Paris, Texas. Opened 125,000 SF warehouse in Clarksville, Texas. First co-packer to provide direct customer shipments for major food & beverage manufacturer.

 
 
 

1995

Sulphur Springs, Texas warehouse opened. First warehouse to implement EDI for Fortune 500 customer.

1996

First warehouse approved for USDA Commodity Storage.

 

1997

Name changed to We Pack Logistics. Clean room added to packaging facilities.

 
 

1999

Opened facilities in Lumberton, North Carolina. Paris warehouse expanded 90,000 SF to accommodate same site integration of packaging operations. First temperature controlled facilities added in Paris.

 
 
 

2000

ISO 9002 certification. Temperature controlled facilities added to Sulphur Springs warehouse. All warehouses approved for USDA Commodity Storage.

2001

Texas Department of Health Medical Device Manufacturer’s Permit approved. FDA Class 2 Medical Device Facility Number application submitted. Sulphur Springs warehouse named Kansas City Southern Railroad Transload Center.

 

2002

Opened packaging facilities in North Carolina. ISO 9002 certification for North Carolina operations.

 
 

2003

Added 157,000 SF to Maxton, North Carolina facility. Achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification.

 
 
 

2005

Completed 223,000 SF expansion in Paris to accommodate customer needs. 2006: Expansion of RFID and distribution services. Club store packaging begins in North Carolina.

2007

Named Texas Family Business of the Year. First co-packer and 3PL to implement SAP compatible EDI for major CPG company.

 

2011

SQF certification. Dallas warehouse, fulfillment and packaging facility opens offering temperature controlled storage and packaging services.

 
 

2013

Added 300,000 SF North Loop facility in Paris and 435,000 SF facility in Rockingham, North Carolina.

 
 
 

2014

Added 110,000 SF facility in Laurinburg, North Carolina.

2015

Began packaging service for our large CPG customer inside of their distribution center in Dallas.

 

2015

Opened new 300,000 SF distribution center in Mesquite, TX for a major CPG.

 
 

2018

Completed migration to ISO 9001:2015 certification and certification for SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) covering labor, health and safety, environment and business ethics.
